Happy Bolero Day!

Winterish thoughts…

  • From the “living in the future is weird” department: Earlier tonight I tweeted at Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of their “Bolero” performance at the Sarajevo Olympics. I felt a little silly doing it, but my 11-year-old self would find a way to travel forward in time and kick my ass if she knew I had the chance and didn’t take it.
  • I sort of hate that I’ve become the kind of adult who just wants the goddamn snow to go away. I always found that attitude such a joykill when I was a kid… a kid who didn’t have to shovel or drive, of course. It’s just been too wintry for too long and I don’t have the energy to find the beauty and fun in it, and that’s sad.
